Rutgers isn’t private.
It is clear I graduated from a significantly better university than you.
You clearly aren’t that smart if that is what you think about those degrees. You are entitled to your opinion.
Not sure what you’re getting at in your last sentence. Is there a typo?
can you answer about LBJ now or how you got duped into voting for someone whose policies are detrimental to you?
Yes of course I did. Major, Business Economics. The campus was not that grand. They took Arizona's quad model designed for wind in the desert which in the winter in Albany is not ideal.
College degrees these days mean far less than they used to. And sociology degrees in general are crap.
What do you want to know about LBJ?SouthpawRight likes this.

You keep leaving out the political science part as well. Double major.
No degree is crap. Its how you use it. Like business economics. Most of what you learn you don’t use at a job. The Rodney Dangerfield movie in the 80’s made this very point.
You can get internships as part of any major that gives you a foot in the door.
2 things- what do you think about the quote and how did you get duped into voting for Donny?Last edited by The Big Dunn; 04-21-2025, 02:20 AM.

Woke up to take a dump. Saw the Def Secretary was so drunk he not only texted war plans to a reporter, but in another text thread with his brother, his lawyer and his wife.
How has this idiot not been fired, arrested and charged with crimes yet?
Does he actually have to send war plans to one of our enemies before Donny gets rid of him?travestyny likes this.

I don’t think they mean far less than they used to. I think the Donny voters are being told that from all of their leadership- while they send their kids to the best colleges and universities as possible.

I did not get duped, the ******* machine of the media and most of college brainwashed you.
Agreed that college can get you a foot in the door. But it also proves I can be a responsible young adult. You develop a bit socially there.
That is part of its value.
But the degree value itself is down. I was only asked once what my GPA was, the rest of my interviews didn't care, only that I graduated.
Much of what I learned about the real world was not from college. My father used to joke that college was mainly a $10,000 dollar a year cover charge for a party.
One's EQ is as important as one's IQ in the workplace. They mostly don't care where you went to college for an undergrad degree.

Clearly you got duped- unless you want tariffs and subsidies for rich people to send their kids to private school.
Now if you willingly voted for this that reflects very poorly on you.
So your degree did matter. Geez.
While I agree EQ is important, the fact the better university graduates start out making more money indicates where you graduated from college is important.Last edited by The Big Dunn; 04-21-2025, 10:04 AM.
