I see more and more people doing this and establishments kinda expect it.

What are your thoughts on this? I never do that sucker sht and it's not my concern if somebody lives off tips.

I tip accordingly but for sure Im not paying no cod dam tip when Im picking up my own food lol.

I'll never tip for an order I'm picking up myself. That's insane.

Nope. You’re not getting a tip for just doing your job. If they aren’t serving the food or having to bus tables then they haven’t earned a tip.

What i cringe a lot is doordash and other delivery service.. those guys would markup the price of the menu, then you pay service, delivery fees then you also tip the driver which not all goes to them.

i never tip, money gets split at best and ends up in the owners pocket at worst. they charge enough to eat out anyway

                True story:

The only fried chicken place close to where I live always served me mediocre food, so, understandably, I never once tipped them. I started tipping them after COVID because I felt sorry about small businesses closing down. Ever since I started tipping, my food quality improved and so has the customer service.

Moral of the story: tipping increases staff morale and improves food quality.

It's these newer presumptuous debit machines that have the tip options preloaded before you pay. Guilting or confusing people into tipping I swear. I've done it a couple times for a specific place I like when I'm feeling generous but it is pretty rare.

It takes time to box up your order and put all the extras in. An extra 5$ if it's a place I go to infrequently. 15% if it's a place I like and go to regularly.
