The person who put together your takeout is often the bartender or someone else that does not make minimum wage.

So yeah, you're supposed to tip - be it dining at a table or getting the food to go.

No ones going to force you, though - you're just not going to be welcomed or liked by that establishment, and they're not going to care if your food is cold or missing things. It's up to you.

Not usually, although if they do something out of the ordinary, yes/maybe.

How can you tip when you haven't even tasted the food?

Most people do not have issue with dine in tipping but Im specifically talking about take out orders.

It's more about the principle. Why would I pay extra to pick up my own food? lol if they delivered, that's different. But Im not going to pay somebody extra to do their job.

There are countless food spots everywhere so if an establishment want to play petty and leave out a sauce or two just because I didnt tip, I will simply take my business elsewhere. Petty ass businesses do not last anyway.

Those guy who remodels your home or fixes your rooftop under the scorching sun deserve tip yet most of the time, home owners do not tip.

Any monkey can put a food order together for take out and those workers aint getting nothing from me.

Yea it's ludicrous lol. America's tipping culture is flat out twisted.

You are supposed to give good service to anybody that gives you business but the ones who feel entitled for sht will always remain at the bottom.

You cant excel and level up with that kind of mentality. Those people will always be a waiter or dish washer.

If you want more tip, you have to go above and beyond for your customer. It's that simple.

If you don't tip, you won't receive good service from the staff at any restaurant you frequent.

Your opinion of tipping culture doesn't impact whether the bartender or takeout girls make hourly. It's typically somewhere between very little and nothing.

Don't think they should be tipped? Cool. It's up to you.

If you like the idea of walking into a restaurant you frequent and having everyone there think "Ugh, here comes this loser. I wish he wouldn't come in here anymore" then by all means, do not tip.

We don't tip fast food workers.

Fast food workers minimum wage or more.

The person making your takeout in a restaurant typically makes $0 a week on their paycheck.

But by all means, feel free to not tip them. They'll totally understand and be happy to see you next time you come in.

That's complete bullsheeit. You have no clue what you are talking about. Bartenders and waitresses still make a certain wage + tips. And the people that make takeout orders are not typically bartenders and waitresses anyway.
