How old are you - 19

How long have you been boxing - About 18 months

How much do you weigh - 53 but looking to fight at flyweight

Whats your training routine like - Come in and skip for 16 minutes (four rounds on the buzzer including the 1 minute breaks)

then do some warm ups for about another 15 minutes

about half an hour of cardio work with 30 second breaks every 3 minutes

about half an hour of core work

      6 rounds on the bags

2 rounds on the speed ball and 2 rounds on the F2C ball

sparring and/or pads before cool down

I'm not old like most people on boxing scene. I got youth on my side. I just didn't want to waste my time screwin around in the ams. I spent majority of my life with Martial Arts, so fighting isn't something that I am new to.

I could have more am fights but like I said, things happened. And I still don't want to fight 86 ams and then go pro. That **** is gay. I rather go pro, fight some bums, then hopefully get good as I go. Worry about getting golden boy type contracts later. Thats the only benefit of having 203 am fights. You have better opportunity to get signed by the big dogs.

It's just getting in rounds. It's not mandatory. Like I said, it's not like I just up and decided I wanted to fight. I've been doing martial arts since I was 4. The discipline is there, the athleticism is there(i've played every major US sport), the pain threshold is there. Everything that I need for boxing, I already have. I didn't decide to box until 18-19, not started learning to fight at 18-19.

I'm not worried about it. I like boxing because it's the most difficult out of the three. MMA and Kickboxing is easy as ****, it plays right into what I have learned basically my whole life.

Yeah but heres the thing about your whole going pro and fighting bums thing, youre not a promoter, you dont decide who you are going to fight. And what happens if you do fight a "bum" and he kicks your ass? It doesnt matter if you have been "fighting" your whole life, I dont care what martial arts youve trained, they arent the same as boxing. So dont come in here acting like you'll be a great boxer, just because youve taken part in some jui-jitsiu tournaments, karate tournys, or MMA matches... None of that **** is the same as a professional, or amateur boxing match for that matter, if your fighting someone who's atleast halfway decent... And just because youve played every major US sport, does not mean youre athletic either, Ive played every major US sport as well besides Hockey, I played on my high school baseball, basketball, and football teams, and even soccer when I was growing up a few years, and while I excelled in baseball and basketball, I completely ****** at soccer, and was decent in football. I knew guys who werent even on the football team in high school who were better than some of my team mates... If you see what im trying to say, it's that just because you play all sports doesnt qualify you as athletic, because you could suck major ass at every one of them, but still be able to play... and again, even if you were Lebron James in basketball, Sydney Crosby in hockey, Albert Pujols in baseball, Ronaldhino of soccer, and the Peyton Manning of football, hell even the George St. Pierre of MMA, that does NOT make you any better of a BOXER than anyone else in the amateurs, which is why you need to test yourself in the amateurs enough first... 3 fights is not enough, and once you go pro and lose, and lose, then you'll get fed to up and comers who were amateur standouts, and they'll have had experiences in the amateurs that you havent encountered, and make light work of you, just because you thought you were better than you actually were... And you dont want to end up like that, cuz of course you know, once you turn pro, you cant go back to the amateurs... Which is why you should want to fight in the amateurs first, and make mistakes there, have MANY different experiences there, and learn there, not learn as you go in the pro, because youll just keep losing, and not end up being able to do anything about it or make it big... And you'll wish you had just took the time to fight in the ams.... I dont mean to bash or hate at all man, as far as I know you could be the next Sugar Ray Leonard, but you must find that out for yourself first, in the amateurs, fight in open tournaments against the best amateurs, and that's where you have your faults and experiences, and perhaps triumphs.. If you fight against the best amateurs, when you turn pro and they feed you with ****-ons, you'll thank yourself for doing it. Because the best amateurs will totally **** on half of the pros... If you can make it close against them, or beat them, then you will most likely be able to make some noise in the pro's....

I disagree. There are some actual fighters in this forum, they don't post as much but they're out there, you can tell when they post. Theres a few good trainers, and some who know a lot about nutrition/supplements/training as well. This forum gets a bit annoying every once in a while that's the reason some of the good posters and experienced guys don't come in here as much.

my record is 8-0 i aready posted it.

most of the routines people are posting on here are routines that pro's do and is just so unbeleivably unrealistic. im not saying everyone is lying but a high majority are its just fact.

if this many people were training that hard everyday without fail we would have a lot more world champions!!

My routine is hard but its not an all year round routine its a hard intense workout i do weeks before a fight.

amateur boxers dont need to train like pros, im 8-0 so i should kno
