If Mayweather had dominated the fight and looked impressive like he did against Mosley or Alvarez, I wouldn't have been upset. I would have commended him for it.

The backlash is not just mad Pacquiao fans, most people thought the fight ****** because it did. Neither guy looked good. They looked like two past it fighters who were content to have a sparring session that made them rich. That's exactly what the fight was.
What backlash are yall even talking about? There was no backlash to mayweather. He went on to do another 4 million ppv buys with mcgregor in another so-called boring and garbage?fight. If you people were so disappointed in the quality of the fight with pacquiao and then how did Floyd do another 4 million with mcgregor?

The reality is that to most people, the quality of a fight is determined by if the guy theyre rooting for wins or not. Had pacquiao won then all those that were rooting for him would be more than satisfied and wouldnt have saw the fight as boring and garbage.

Floyd made it a technical fight and exposed pacquiaos limitations as a fighter. If you like the science of boxing then it wasnt boring.

You just cant help ****** people in their feelings. For years people who picked Floyd to win told the world how the fight was going to turn out. We told you that it was likely going to be the usual Floyd UD where he would give pacquiao a boxing lesson and make it look like a sparring match. Thats exactly what it was and thats how it was going to always look.

Pacquiao off the juice wasnt going to do any better in 2009-10 either. Thats why he didnt want to take the drug tests.
You assume that I was cheering for Pacquiao because you want to belittle my comment. Nice try.

Once again it was the least amount of punches that either fighter has ever landed over the course of 12 rounds. The fight was 12 rounds of hugs.

There`s nothing wrong with being happy for Mayweather winning. I can understand that if you were strongly on his side then the W probably felt pretty good. There is still no reason to romanticize things. The fight ****** regardless of who you were cheering for. You say I cheered for Manny but I actually thought that Floyd would light up Pacquiao more than he did.

      Feel free to disagree.

Round 10 of this fight was real ugly

Floyd landing clean shots that weren’t very damaging

manny coming forward with ineffective aggression

You can keep trying to generalize me into some ****** casual box all you want and it's not going to make you right.

It was a boring, disappointing fight because both fighters struggled to look good, there wasn't much action, and it was a huge letdown after 5 years of waiting. Simple as that. You can pretend there weren't tons of disappointed fans, or that they were disappointed only because Pacquiao lost, but it's not the truth.

Get outside the NSB bubble for once.

This is where I introduce you to aspects of boxing such as defense?and ring generalship? The most impressive things about Floyd in the latter half of his career were the subtleties imo. His defense and the way he neutralizes his opponents offense is about a lot more than his ability to dodge and block punches. Floyd was great at disrupting timing, controlling distance, taking away his opponents best weapon, etc.

I agree with you, I thought Floyd wouldve been able to touch him up more than he did but youve got to give pacquiao some credit on his defense and ability to play chess with Mayweather without getting completely embarrassed. Mayweather clearly best him though and it was impressive just off of how he neutralized pacquiao alone. I can appreciate a strategic chess match fight the same way in similar ways that I appreciate a well pitched 2-1 game in baseball. Its not all about offense.

Look, you’ve already admitted that you had a bias against the fight going in. You can get frustrated all you want. You’re full of sht.

That's a testament to his gym ethics and how weak the division is right now. It doesn't matter that he's winning. Perhaps more concerning at just how weak the division is that they let a 40yr beat them. Nobody in their right mind would consider a 40yr old in his prime. In fact at the lower weights the majority of fighters look old as f*k at 34. Prime years of a lower weight boxer is between 28 and 32.

Manny uses PEDs. Hes used it ever since he moved to 135.
Its true because I said so just like you keep saying the same sht about Floyd.

I love Floyds defensive game and ring generalship. I agree with every point that you make about his skills and the way he fights. I just feel that he has put on far better performances than that particular fight. The fight just resulted in a lot of clinching and (imo) not that much boxing. Regardless of the reasons why, I think most of the world (myself included) was bored by that fight. I think Floyds other big events against Oscar and Canelo are better performances and a lot more fun to watch. Actually even the McGregor fight ended up being fun.
