- - Probably Eddie smarter than lineal 2 dimension top 10 "'perts," but I'm certain on several occasions he set forth his opinions on Ali that would be quite enlightening.
In the meantime, while Pep say witches only used to exist at best, we have voluminous proof that at least one Vitch does exist, so this throwback for him when young Clay could flick the pimples off him:

Still avoiding the tough question I see. Crazy how nobody mentioned a long delay or bare fist during the fight. Crazy how you can watch the fight and see there is no delay nor a bare fist.

- - Mentioned it in every new Ali bio I perused, over a dozen, and the fight spliced in the last example posted.

Dumb how U are.
NO ONE has ever talked about the fight being spliced except you. Google it and you will come up with nothing. And it doesn't explain why the announcers never talked of these things.
had to help Ali to his corner at the end of Round 4. Ali was clearly shaken up by the knockdown and was disoriented for a few seconds, attempting at one point to rise from his stool. Dundee appears to pop an ampule of smelling salts under Ali's nose (which would have been a disqualifying offense if he had been caught), although the film is inconclusive. Dundee then waved to referee Tommy Little and showed Little Ali's right glove which had apparently split down a seam revealing horsehair stuffing which could have injured Cooper's eyes. Officials were requested to obtain a new pair of gloves for Ali, and popular myth has it that the resulting confusion led to the interval between round 4 and round 5 to be extended by 20 seconds which gave Ali extra time to recover. In fact, there was no confusion; the referee refused to suspend the fight, and the fifth round was delayed by perhaps three seconds.

I think the smelling salt may have been applied by the cut man standing to Dundee's left. He reaches under Ali's nose twice (with no evidence of blood) the first time you can see Ali screw on a face like he didn't like the smell. The second time (easier to see) Ali doesn't react but does then speak directly to the cutman.
I once read the reason Ali stood up was because Dundee, wanting to see how unstable Ali was, Dundee told Ali to stand up and then sat him down again.
