The biggest thing they changed from the game is the whole concept of the fungi strands communicating with each other. They did that in place of the spores, because they don't really like the spores in the air concept - because in reality the spores should be everywhere and/or how many spores are really needed to cause an infection, they felt it was better to do another angle.

I didn't care for the spores angle anyway

In the show, they're pushing it contaminated food

Jakarta, Indonesia has the largest flour mill in the world

They export flour around the globe

The infected body the Indonesian govt had was a worker at the mill

Remember the neighbor, they were eating biscuits and cookies

Joel refused the biscuits because he says he's on atkins

Remember Joel forgot to get the birthday cake

The daughter didn't eat the cookies because it was raisin cookies and not chocolate chip

That's how they didn't get infected

Never played the game cuz I’ve always been an Xbox kinda guy. That, and I fell off video games in general, but I saw some real gameplay footage and it looked really good.

Tried to get back into it and would last a few weeks or even a month but it never sticks

Just when I buy a new console or new computer or a new game

I wish I could go back to elementary/Jr high days when I could play all day every day
