Didn't play the 2nd one due to not having a PS anymore and there was a lot of gay virtue signalling in it. So much so it ruined the game for a lot of people. I won't say any spoilers, but most men are super mad about it.

If you own a PS, get the first game. It's a crazy ride.

It's similar in scope for the post-apocolyptic setting, there is more rebuilding of life though, and the antagonist is completely different. It's not zombies, but a fungus that infects people. Some people die from it eventually, some turn into monster types. The monsters rely on hearing, they're blind I believe.

The show circulates around an older man Joel and a teenage girl. Kind of like a modern day Lone Wolf & Cub (you probably have no idea what that is).

This show is AAA level in every regard so far.

I've been on both sides of the fence and I burn through series so fast then I run out of content. I'm a huge fan of film and very critical so I just don't watch anything to kill time. Life moves pretty fast and I feel like if I'm going to spend time watching film, it better be good.

I like having the ritual of having a show on a certain day. Me and the missus are like hey it's Wednesday, new Andor is on or etc.

I doubt I'm the only one. Watching it all at once is depressing to me and part of a bigger sociological fast-food type problem, you run through several months of content in a few days then have nothing to watch. Breeding impatience for this new shithaus generation.
We just feel more connected as we don't have to think about what happened last week kind of thing. When you roll to one after another it's fresh in your mind kind of thing, like a long movie.

But I understand not everyone likes to do it that way.

I have a good feeling about this show. Hope it’s as good as Yellowstone which is my fave right now.

I'm a huge fan of the video game series. They would need at least 3 seasons before they enter Part 2.

I'll finish off this latest season of Yellowstone and then start this.

The fact that it's getting so much love off the main****** critics worries me a bit, if critics like a show it usually sucks.

I hear they've race-swapped at least one character.

Ahh ok, she's 25% black, I stand corrected. I played the game and don't even remember his real daughter, 10 years will do that to ya. That quote you made, I thought you were referencing Joel or Ellie.

Her mother Thandiwe is half black. Nico's grandad is white (British) and grandma from Zimbabwe. Nico's Dad is white. Look at the link you provided, they used a super dark image of her to make her look black. She's extremely whit,e as white as you can get without being white.

Anybody complaining about her being 25% black, imo is just nitpicking. There is a big difference here of let's say in comparison to The Dark Tower and Idris Elda playing the role of a whiteman (Roland) which I'm totally against or injecting black Elves into Tolkiens work.

At the end of the day, people should have expected some of this anyway because the game was unfortunately woke, especially the second one.

Now if they had Joel played by a black man, I would agree on bs, but this is kind of nitpicky to be fair.

It doesn't bother me at all. The only race-swapping that has annoyed me recently is that black elf in the rings of power, and that was mainly because of his perfect skin-fade haircut.
