Jeez, its great to see that Bruce is still a polarizing figure after all these years lol. But so much ignorance here on this thread! it smells like that long log brother Z posted!

First of all to the troll "Offensive Bitchery" Wing Chun is a limited martial art, people that practice is as a fighting art do not use gloves, which totally nullify the punching (you need a direct connection to the target), they understand the limitations of the art, and there are plenty of guys who have knocked down fellow fighters using the in close fighting in street fighting situations. Out here in Northern Kali I know of a few Chunners that would punch a hole through a person if they were so inclined.

Bruce Lee did fight Wong. It is debated what occurred. Lee did take the fight as a wake up call, but Lee was never really trained properly in Wing Chun. Yip Man was old and was more a popular face, than a fighter for the art. Lee would not have been exposed to anything in the art that would allow him to be effective in combat when he fought jack man.

Lee was a teacher primarily. He did fight others... including Norris. Norris and others all have said as much. But Lee was not primarily interested in fighting, but instead in finding an approach that reduced fighting to its essential elements.

left hook, my brother from another mother... Gracie stuff was always more doctored than it looked. Yes, they were good for the approach and initial tourney. BUT the Gracies were professional fighters. They trained 24/7. Would we put a guy who trained in Karate a few hours or so at most a day, in the ring with a fighter training to fight professionally training around the clock, we would not atribute the win, to a superior martial art. The GRacies faced amatuer guyss as professional fighters, even then, sometimes great strength, or skill would catch them! In brazil where they fought against other fighters trained professionally, they did not always win.

Lee was respected for a reason, but to say he was a professional fighter would be to mischaracterize him.

The gracies weren't really pro fighters either.

They just did dojo fights and some street fights for the most part back then.

Royce gracie 1st pro fights were when he fought in the 1st ufc.

His 1st pro fights in mma was against a 29-5 boxer art jimmerson, ken shamrock who fought in pancrase and gerard gordeau who was a Dutch karate and savate kickboxing champ.

Those guys actually had pro fights before fighting royce grace.

Royce gracie at the time lived in his brothers house and taught bjj classes.

Let's use common sense and simple deduction.

Bruce Lee was bragging about how he can beat all the local martial arts guys.

He didn't fight anyone but kept talking about how he could beat anyone without proving it.

Wong jack man actually challenged Lee to fight at his school.

No one exactly knows what happened.

After Bruce Lee bragged about fighting Wong jack man (without saying Wong jack man name) to a magazine, Wong jack man challenged him again.

Bruce Lee never responded to a public fight.

Bruce Lee closed his school in the area.

Bruce Lee left the city.

Add to that the fact that there is not one instant of footage of Bruce "the greatest fighter ever" in a real fight.
Someone once posted a video of some china men fighting on a roof, but it is indistinguishable who the combatants are. (the roof fighters suck BTW)

Other things I notice is "Bruce Lee beat this guy in 11 seconds", "Bruce Lee beat a stunt double in 11seconds" or "Bruce Lee beat a 10th degree black belt in 11seconds". So basically we are to believe that when this so-called legend is going to fight everyone going to see the fights leaves their cameras and takes stop watches with them.
