2022 Tour de France Discussion Thread

The 109th edition of the Tour de France started today in Copenhagen Denmark. The TDF is the world's most elite cycling races that spans 21 stages in July. I love watching professional cycling for the athleticism, sport, grit, strategy, tactics and sheer competitiveness of it. It's a grueling 3,328 KM (2,068 mile) dynamic race with multiple competitions within it (general classification i.e. lowest time; points race; KOM "king of the mountain" race, etc.) It's also incredibly scenic as the riders cycle through beautiful parts of Europe.

Today there will be the crossing of the bridge over the great belt. That will be spectacular.
