and let’s be honest why Weyant hasn’t commented, it’s because of fear of being vilified and cancelled by the left… possibly losing her spot in the team and her scholarship.

This picture here tells you everything you need to know how she feels about the situation.

In the immediate aftermath of the race, both second placed Emma Weyant, who won silver in the 400-meter Individual Medley at the 2021 Tokyo , and third placed Erica Sullivan, a silver medalist in the 1,500-meter freestyle event in Tokyo, shook hands with Thomas in the water.

While standing on the podium, all the competitors in the 500-yard freestyle race applauded Thomas when she was announced the winner, except for fifth placed Evie Pfiefer, who appeared to not clap, according to a video from the arena.

Elsewhere, a Getty photo shows Weyant, Sullivan and fourth place finisher Brooke Forde posing while standing away from Thomas. It is unclear whether this was an intended statement from the other swimmers rather than a standard picture where the winner is shot separately.

Calling it a mental illness harkens back to the early 1900’s when things were labeled that way solely for political reasons. As of 2 or 3 years ago the WHO officially stopped calling this a mental disorder.

It isn’t odd Rip. This is a ****** ass media ploy meant to trigger his idiot base. Anyone, especially that young woman, can see it. I can’t fathom any rational person would want to be attached to this is.

Maybe her mindset is she’s a true competitor she accepted the loss and moved on.

also, It’s very possible she supports Lia, feels she’s a woman, and has no issue competing against her.

( my daughter did as well when she was younger. Very expensive) I completely understand you taking that position. That is an individual sport so I get that.

I’m not saying you’re wrong. What I’m saying is if the women competing don’t have an issue, why should anyone else?

Notice the people pushing this are the politicians. That should tell you all you need to know.
Politicians are going to push any and every issue possible in order to get people on their side, that's just the way it is. This isn't an isolated incident, parents as well as students are complaining about this. You don't think orgs like WHO stopped calling it that due to pressure or political reasons?

I'll ask you this: Lia goes to the hospital due to an illness or injury or something along those lines. What is he going to be treated as? Because men and women are different right. Despite what he thinks he is or what he wants people to refer to him as, he is still a man. He dies and they take a look at his bones or his DNA a hundred years later they aren't going to care what he identified as, he will be labeled a man. That does not change because people want to pretend it does. That's just a fact.

As I said, if the woman that came in second has no problem with it, then that's cool. There are other women that do which is why it's being discussed. There are women complaining and don't want to go public about it because they don't want to lose scholarships (which I understand to an extent but if you believe in something you should stand up for it).

Personal question: How long did your daughter compete in gymnastics? We're going on year 4, I love seeing the progress she's made. We used to play around and I'd help her at home and we would kinda compete doing hand springs and flips, but now she's doing all kinds of advanced stuff I couldn't do on my best day, haha. She's got me looking old now

It’s a personal choice that I don’t agree with but it doesn’t mean someone who chooses has a mental illness.

I dont disagree but If society has changed and gender is purely a social construct, then no.

Yes I am sure some are not as vocal because of the possible ramifications now that this has morphed into a national debate. I have read some articles from some female college athletes against it. Many valid points made.

From 3-8. She had to stop because I’m 6’4 and my wife 6’0 so she got very tall real quick. She loved it though.

Yeah when they start doing the crazy flips on the mat and the horse you get hella nervous. Just wait until the uneven bars.

If they want to be called "Trans women" then that's on them. The thing about it is they can't force people to cater to their mental illness or expect anyone to change truths or engage in their fantasy if they don't want to.

I have no problem with him announcing that he thinks the actual female is the real winner, but as you said it is odd the female he is talking about didn't show up or comment on it. That still doesn't change the fact that a man won in a women's event, which is the real issue.

I have a daughter that competes in gymnastics (to which we pay a lot of money for). Boys compete as well, but of course it is against other boys. They even have different events. If they were to start allowing males to compete against her I would take issue with it and she would as well because she knows the difference between boys and girls
Your daughter isn't good at track or tennis?

The same is happening with my 10 year old. I'm about 6'6 and her mom is 5'8 and my daughter is already 5'3. She is the one that likes basketball though, so the height may work out in her favor. She isn't too interested in volleyball, but it maybe something to look at as well in the future.

My daughter plays volleyball because my son plays basketball and he’s legitimately good. She clearly wanted to escape his shadow and I completely understand that.

In her middle school there are I believe 2 boys that are like dwade’s son in that they dress, act and carry themselves as women. The school emailed the parents about it.

While I find that really weird my daughters says the majority of the kids don’t really care.

When I was in middle school if you even acted soft you got beat up. If you wore a dress and makeup like these boys you’d probably get beaten daily.

Why do simpletons try to shoehorn everything into a defense of a ******* policy?

Criticizing the obvious political ploy from DeSantis meant to trigger his idiot base is in no way a defense of the transgender policy of the NCAA, ***** or any other group or politician.

Not being angry about this doesn’t mean I defend or support it.

When you are a superfan, you have to defend everything the team does.

                      Lia said in an interview:

"I won that women's race fair and square, if they don't like it, they can suck my ****"
