Microsoft were trying to do something different, and the cost of that was always on, it was a premium product yes, but at least they were trying.
A "win" for gamers is just keeping the status quo, I remember how everyone cried about xbox live requiring broadband but it worked out fine.
All the ps4 is, is a more powerful ps3, it does nothing different, it's already less powerful than a gaming PC and it's not even out yet, give it a year or so and it'll be miles behind, the cloud service was designed to give the xbox more power remotely, that was the point of it and why it required always on
I HOPE the xbox one can use its online service to improve the games experience but I'm doubtful now, same old same old
Maybe I will save up and get a gaming PC because Sony is offering nothing different and now the xbox probably won't either
