365 LBS is not "strong" for One of the biggest One punch knockout artists ever.

Benching can be used doing explosive movements, or more static movements depending on whether we want fast, or slow twitch conditioning. I think it works great if not overemphasized.
The bench (or chest press) is great because it's isolated upper body.

But the greatest indicator of strength is dead lift.

Appreciate the sentiment, but id never consider myself exceptional at any lift or close to it. Lying about your lifts/weights/reps doesn’t help anyone either, but of course it happens. My point is that i spent way more time lifting weights than working on my boxing. Still there’s nothing ive ever done in a weight room that comes within a fraction of getting the attention I would get from hitting the bag or mitts anywhere. Punching power/speed came easy. I try to apply it to bench and feel I try my hardest effort but my power isn’t the same as static strength. I was a good sprinter but feel like I get nothing from my legs swimming. How they throw a football 80yds or a baseball 100mph Is hard for me to comprehend.
My first training partner was 5’5” 155lbs and could bench 315lbs as a teen. He was built for it. Chest and shoulders. I was arms and legs. He had small hands but if there was a pickle jar nobody else could open he could do it.

Becouse main power comes from hips, core and legs. But even this does very little for increasing power main factors are weight and lever of body limbs
