Hey everyone, I could use some advice.
In sparring I usually do fine vs people that just move in and out, people who fight the same way as me.
I do however have trouble with people who just rush forward several steps while punching. I've tried getting a shot in to catch them while charging in but the problem is then I leave myself open a bit and get hit myself too. And their punches hurt me more because they are simply stronger than me...
So now I mostly just cover up and hop backwards. I can't keep distance and jab going backwards either because they just rush me too fast.
This is kinda annoying me because even the least experienced boxers can just rush me and hit me like that; so please give me your advice on what to do. Since it's vacation and I have alot of free time also feel free to name me a fight out of which I could learn alot.
I know a possible advice is probably to sidestep. It's just something I can't use well in the ring, so I will deffinately work on that.
Thanks in advance.
