Is it fair to label Andrade a fraud?

He was a good fighter who fought cans his whole career and got smoked the first time he fought a real A level fighter. Unfortunately for him, that's most likely what everyone will remember about his career. He should move to the UK, he has to have a fanbase there after beating up all their bums lol

Had Andrade lost to Jermall last night, I think calling him a 'fraud' would've been warranted. Some fans were expecting too much from him last night.

Andrade is a pure boxer at his 3rd weight class....going up against a big pressure fighter campaigning at his first weight. Andrade had stoppages at 154 and 160, but I wouldn't classify him as a big puncher. His first performance at 168 against Nicholson didn't exactly inspire confidence either. Andrade wanted a big fight and didn't try to acclimate to the weight. Andrade was desperate, and Team Benavidez simply took advantage. Andrade allowed himself to be a stepping stone, a sacrifice....nothing more. He's just another highlight reel performance for Benavidez.

I think some hard-cores are just frustrated with the way Andrade's career played out...and were expecting him to put on a superhuman performance because it was such an important fight. It's an overreaction to a boxer disappointing us and not living up to lofty expectations. As pure boxers age, their speed/agility decreases and they become sitting ducks for pressure fighters. Benavidez did his job very well: he battered Andrade's body to make him stationary, then ripped combos to the head/body. It was a textbook beating.

For years him and his fans ****** on about how avoided he was despite him declining fights against Korobov, Charlo, Alimkhanuly, even Zach Parker most recently.

Instead he fought the likes of Katundowka, Keeler, Quigley, Akavov etc. There was the odd fringe top 10 guy like Vanes, Williams or Sulecki but even those guys were clearly levels below who he should have been fighting.

Yet we were told how skilled Andrade was, how he was so elusive, sharp, accurate, slippery, yet the moment he stepped up, we saw absolutely none of those attributes.

I thought he won one round, the second. Benavidez looked the sharper fighter, he found him easy to hit and he essentially just beat the sh** out of him for 6 rounds until Andrade quit on his stool.

This guy was never an elite fighter.

Would you call Usyk a fraud if they threw him in with Fury after the 40-year-old Witherspoon 1st heavyweight fight which he looks like complete cramp and hadn't adjusted to the class and Fury ran him over in his 2nd HW before acclimating to the weight?

Plant, Dirrell, etc all career 168s, more durability, more arounds even with less talents

DAZN exec stated on ThaBoxingVoice with Nester Gibbs that they couldn't have any of the fighters signed with them to take the Andrade fight. If he is a fraud, then someone with career weights of 154 and 160 should have exposed him, right?

Breadman said one of JRock, can't fight beyond 154, that is his max class. We see JRock is literally getting overpowered by guys at 154.

This wasn't a mistake. PBC was not going to let him grow into the class like Crawford did on Spence.

Haymon always had it in for him after the Rocnation incident but you have to know the history of Beyonce's dad, Haymon, and Espinoza

When DAZN had to drop him, he was doomed the minute he went over to PBC.

Crawford is next Andrade if he is ****** enough to fight Canelo at 168. It will be even uglier than Benavidez -Andrade.

Not exactly a fraud, but an example of how inactivity and feeding on tomato-cans can erode your skills.

Guys like Hopkins have spoken about this problem with boxers today. Very few fighters can fight once a year and stay sharp as they age.
