I think he actually won the event against all other athletes. I am not 100% on this, but for sure he was one of the best over various athletic disciplines.
Sprints, Middle Distance events, throwing, jumping you name it.
I just think people are overly critical of Joshua, he has specific strengths as a athlete. Unfortunately being a endurance based athletes is not one of his innate strengths.
But? I still think he has shown great feats of endurance and durability during his career. It was endurance at 250 pounds, which basically won him his fight vs Kiltschko etc.
You may be able to find the 'Superstars competition' online.
This was just before Joshua turned professional.
If Joshua was competing against Tyson Fury in a super stars event, I honestly don't think there is a athletic event which Tyson Fury would win.
I think Joshua would beat Fury over all the sprints, all the distance events, all the throwing events and jumping events.
So the potential is there to transfer all of that ability inside the boxing ring. But I am under no illusion, Joshua seems to struggle with that transfer etc.
