..Win Like A COWARD, Or Lose Like A Man?........

    What would you rather do?

True, no one is a coward if they step in the ring. But, it's more for dramatic effect and lack of a better term.

Would you rather win like a coward, or lose like a man?

To make it an even tougher question, imagine that this is gonna be (whether you know it or not) the biggest fight of your entire career.

If it were the biggest fight of my career then I'd want to go down on my shield.

But if it were a normal fight, the saying "win this time, look good the next" comes to mind.

I hate the way people confuse using superior boxing technique and skills as cowardly fighting.

An intelligent boxer is usally not liked by the non purists.

      A dumb brawler usually is.

Boxing would probably be exponentially more popular than it is right now if a certain p4p champ had this mindset for his own "biggest fight of his career".

I'd rather lose and still have my baby makers than to win and lose'em in the process! Especially in the biggest fight of my career! I'm goin hard!

Wow... Some people are ridiculously ******.

Let me map out exactly what happens in the two choices:

            1. Winning like a coward - You run your ass off, protecting a lead that you got by landing punches with no power. You break the record for limiting your opponent to the least number of connects in history. You get a W on your record and your face and body hurt less than anyone's face or body has hurt after any professional prizefight... ever.

            2. Losing like a man - You get your ****ing ass kicked, possibly knocked unconscious by a head shot that is going to give you a headache for the next few days at least, or a body shot that is going to have you pissing red for a while. On top of having your body totally destroyed in the process, you don't even get a ****ing win for your troubles. So you get your ass kicked and you get moved down in the rankings of boxing.

Anyone who picks losing like a man is an idiot. Sorry, but it's true. If you are faced with those two, and those two options only, you HAVE to pick the one that involves winning, and not getting hurt.

Well he wouldn't be the P4P champ if he did that, because his little quick athleticism and style of fighting dictates that he is less effective if he tries to fight in a way that would have him "go out on his shield" if he loses.

              Meldrick Taylor anyone?

im old school so i choose go down fighting like a man. but what does go down like a man mean anyway? there's alotta guys out there that are coming in eating shots up, and glorifying the night with their balls? you gotta put ability in it also. and not look to just survive.
to me that would mean taking risks in time when no one would take one. not be afraid to go in the place where you'll be uncomfortable, and dont let the other guy have the satisfaction of making you look lesser than you really are.

also some confuse boxers that are not as offensive and call runners and cowards. im not really a big fan of floyd but at the same time i cant really call him a coward. i mean at the end of the day he beats up on the guy. but at times he also overdoes it.
in the first oscar fight he was a coward and for the kind of money he got he didnt do what he promised. same with baldomir. he didnt want to go in that place.

one fight that really comes to mind is the andre dirrell vs curtis stvens, it was the first HBO debut for both. and it was absolute ****iest most disgraceful fight (if you could call it that) between 2 young fighter that ive ever seen. dirrell left a bad impression and i dont think HBO is in his future. i dont know how many people saw the whole fight, but i did. i stopped recording after the second round though, and threw out the disc (SERIOUS) and i never done that bevore for any fight.

More like win like a ***** than coward really. Winky Wright is a great defensive fighter that won fights by making guys whiff..but never ran around the ring like some of these bitches. Guys like Mayweather, Malignaggi, Guzman and Luevano may be talented and have the records to prove it but could never win a fight outside the ring if their lives depended on it. They hate to get hit and have no chins. They are everything that is wrong with boxing today and their boring fights are why boxing is no longer main******
