I wouldn't go that far and say he's in his prime right now, being that he's a fight or two away from hangin' it up. Hard to really determine when a fighter is in their so called prime, allot of people base this on if that fighter strings together some big name wins, or when they may lose a couple of fights, then some say "Oh past his prime". At his age, and his record,... who knows when his prime was or is.

Most boxers can outbox Pacquiao. The only reason Pacman wins anything is because he only fights boxers that are past their prime.

Current Pacquiao versus Morales at his best (122), you have to go with Pacquiao. Morales would get tagged and start brawling, which would be his demise. People underestimate how much the cut contributed to Pacquiao's original loss, and that was not Pacquiao in his prime. Pacquiao now has more discipline than Morales ever did.

If it's at 126, Morales every fight in a three fight series, but each fight is a war and is close. He was just better in his prime, and that was not Morales' prime!

That has always annoyed me more than anything. Whoever has closely followed Morales knew that from the Chavez fight onward, and even before, he was quickly slowing down and starting to show wear from bad training (more dietary) habits etc. At the weights where Morales was best, 122 and 126, he beats Pacquiao in every fight.

The second fight was going the same way as the first, with Morales outboxing Pac and winning nearly every round until his legs started to stop working and he started to gas. With Pac ****ing away on his body and pushing it up against the drained, worn Morales the outcome became inevitable.

Morales beats him 3 of 3 at 122/126.
Pacquiao was so reckless at 130 it's not exactly his prime either.

Yup, 60 fights later. Manny's finally found his prime.

it was physically his prime, not skill wise though. Hopkins prime was in his mid 30's.

Hopkins hadn't been through 50-something fights and an enormous amount of wars. PLUS, Hopkins started his career late while Manny started early.

Morales vs Pacquioa (1) was a close fight with Morales in his prime and Pacquioa only half the fighter he is today under Freddie Roach, their 2nd fight showed marked improvement in Pacquiao.. i think Pacquiao has been in his prime for the last 3yrs and it wont last much longer.. maybe one more fight!
