      That's a great collection! You learn plenty by reading. Anyway; that's what Mom always said, so it's gotta be true.

          I had many of those once upon a time.

          I would add Shadowbox by George Plimpton.

          The section on the build up to the first Ali fight gave a stark insight as to just how much awe and terror Liston was regarded in by press and public alike.

            Honestly, I’ve always believed you can learn a lot about discipline and mental endurance from boxing stories. But when it came to writing about those themes for my education project, I hit a wall. I wanted to capture that same grit in words, but structuring the essay was a nightmare. That’s when I stumbled on this and it seriously saved me. They helped me turn my messy thoughts into something that actually flowed. Sometimes having the right support outside the ring makes all the difference too.

                Very interesting little known insights about Mike and Lennox. Mike called LeRoy Neiman the night before the Lewis fight and told him he loved him. Witness who saw the teenaged sparring of Mike and Lennox. Muhammad Ali's reactions while watching the fight on big screen in Las Vegas. Lots of anecdotes like that.
