    Tiger Flowers.Just How Good Was he?

    Good to see some new threads appearing,I thought I would resume making my own.
    I don't suppose this one will attract much comment as its not a heavyweight thread ,but here goes.
    Tiger Flowers the Georgia Deacon ,I've never really focused on him and would like to ask ,how good posters think he was?
    Flowers was a 5'10" Southpaw with wins over;
    Grebx2 Both disputed
    Johnny Wilson
    Panama Joe Gans
    Frank Moody
    Jock Malone
    Pete Latzo
    Tut Jackson
    Lou Bogash
    Allentown Joe Gans
    Among others his Box Rec record is119-15-8,his ko percentage suggests he wasn't much of a puncher and despite his religious nature,he was often a rather dirty fighter.
    A disputed loss to Mickey Walker
    A couple of draws with Maxie Rosenbloom.
    Anyone got any thoughts,insight into this man?

    Greb said he was the greatest fighter he ever fought. That he could contest Greb and Walker so closely, has an all star resume....I think that tells us everything we need to know.

        Consistently ranked at or near the 10 top Middleweights in history. Speed, good power, great results, fair chin....but while he may have had Harry Greb's number, he never should have used his dentist! The *****cat of the Prize Ring and A Tiger rose out of Georgia are both recommended reading.

            No one's ever seen Sharkey except in still pictures. Damned near pure guesswork. Why don't you have him fight Tiger Flowers? Then it could all be guesswork.

              There is some surviving film of Sharkey against Jeffries. No one alive has ever seen
              Sullivan,Griffo,Darcy ,Nelson, Rosenbloom,Greb,Dillon , fighting.
              Should they be consigned to the dustbin and never talked about?
              If you've no interest in these mythical matchups and evaluations;
              1.Why comment ?

              2.I'm at a loss as to why you would post on a history forum?

                I am at a loss why you are still alive. If you had any manners you would have shot yourself already.

                  You've made multiple posts attacking my last two threads,all because you were humiliated over boxers adopting Islamic names.
                  We all know what you are and what your problem is, now be a good little bigot and run along.
                  Some posters here want to discuss boxing ,evaluate old time pugilists, and discuss mythical matchups.
