i see what gold mac is saying, sales etc. don't always mean someone is better. but in the case of jay-z and 50. anyone who tells me 50 is better, i don't know how thats possible based on the facts. i mean you could say it. but it doesnt add up.

I struggle with the notion of numbers...exactly how much should they count for? Numbers definitely do lie, theres no denying that, but if you dont do numbers...then what kind of an impact are you making? If you do real big numbers, that doesnt necessarily mean your the best at your trade. As far as rap goes, i think doing big numbers have more to do with being a great entertainer more then it has to do with being a great rapper, especially with rappers like Soulja boy. But at the same time, its not something that can be completely ignored.

i think numbers lie most of the time, but sometimes they tell the truth. in jays case, he is a great rapper...so i think they are right for being high. ya know?

I do agree with this...I think he is both a great rapper and a great entertainer.

Jay-Z made it to where hes at from hard work and constant grinding at his craft. He went 8 years with an album every year.
