He's one of the best commercial rappers of all time but that has more to do with him being part of Aftermath than it does his skill.

I bet I could name 100 rappers off the top of my head that had better songs but never had the production to make those songs sound great.

If you gave 50's beats & hooks to some of the old school guys like KRS-1, Mos Def,Big L,and so on, they would have been chart toppers too.

50 is garbage, one good album followed by non-stop trash.

i partially agree with that, but lets not act like hes not the one who wrote his hooks. Hes great at writing hooks, and I think hes right there with Jay-z for best flow ever. I dont think hes been a real good lyricist since GRODT, but the Massacre had several gems on it that people seem to overlook.

I cant name 100 rappers that are better then 50 (i know those aint your exact words, but thats basically how i interpret what your saying). Of course theres alotta rappers more lyrical then him...most people believe ice cube and jay-z are borderline top 5 all time, how many rappers are greater lyrically then they are? The answer is that it doesnt matter, they make great songs, they're more versatile, they have better flows, and they cant help the fact that they get better beats then all the back pack rappers.

Yeah pretty much the same idea.
I just put the different styles, ect in separate categories and try to go from there.

Anyone who says 50 had only one good album should start listening to his stuff. Power of The Dollar, Get Rich or Die Trying, and The Massacre were all great albums, not to mention that he resurected the Mixtape game and made it huge with his countless classics. Sure, The Massacre's singles were all the club songs on the album, but look what happened.... It went Platnium multiple times. Anything wrong with that? Great business strategy, put 4-5 club songs on your 18 song album, make those your club hits, make the album sell with those singles, put some classic grimey **** for the hip-hop heads to enjoy on the album, great.

                  i disagree completely.
he is one funny mother ****er but that has absolutely nothing to do with his talent as an artist.
his charisma by no means makes up for all the garbage he's dropped.
Mac, i mad respect you, but nahhhhhhhhh. not even close.

I couldn't care less if it went 100X platinum. Going platinum multiple times doesn't mean it was a good album, 50 just had a mega hit album with GRDT so of course he was going to sell on his next album. There was nothing good about The Massacre.

                      2pac

50 cent is great though 2pac is greater.
