    Outkast

    Now before i change my picture and signature...i would like to take a minute or two to appreciate my favorite duo of all time, Outkast. I absolutely love Outkast. Andre and Big Boi are two of the most talented MC's in the game and i feel as though they are truly a blessing to this art that we call Hip Hop. They are my "fall-back" group, meaning that no matter the year, time, or circumstance i can bump one of their albums with excitement. I am just as live to listen to an Outkast track today as i was back when i first fell in love with their good old southern hospitality. Outkast Forever!

    you know......i never got into to Outkast. But I must say after scanning the songs you posted, they sound real good. I think i'm going to make a mix with the songs you posted.

      Southernplayalistic and ATLiens are both classics in my opinion....i never really got into Aquemini or any of their other cd's but i own the first two. I used to listen to Outkast all the time, still do every once in a while. Outkast was one of the first groups that I knew of, I think I listened to them even before I ever heard of Mobb Deep. Hows their newest cd, and what is their newest cd?

        Their most recent release was Idlewild - essentially a soundtrack for the movie that they did back in 2006. As much of a fan as i am, i never bought the album or really gave it a good listen. to be honest i think that in this particular situation, it is not that i have lost interest in their new material, but that they have already given me so much to bump and appreciate that i just never found it necessary. but with that, i am going to give Idlewild an attentive listen. Prior to that was their double-disc album in which they worked independently of one another titled Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, the first being Big Boi's solo debut and the second being Andre's. This album was fresh, innovative, and a breakthrough in the new school of hip hop. I agree wholeheartedly that southernplayalistic and ATLiens are classics, but if you consider them both to be so then i promise you that you would love Aquemini. up until recently i argued that ATLiens was their best album released to date, but after re-evaluation i am leaning more towards Aquemini being their all time best.

        i am so glad that i could have potentially changed your mind about Outkast! it was a great day for me when i embraced their greatness. for real. i am going to send you a list of tracks that i feel best represents them and you can further decide for yourself. there is so much more to them than most people think because they released so much more in depth material than what made it to the radio and BET, although certain songs like Ms.Jackson and Rosa Parks certainly made it there for a reason, because they're ****ing great.

          Theres a really good mixtape on datpiff, i can never get it to play every time i try to but its got many classics on it.....



          I listened to aquemini a couple times, couldnt get into it except maybe 5 or 6 songs but If i listened to it enough im sure id like it more, I know many consider it to be a classic and thats not the first time i heard someone say it was their best cd.
