Paul Thomas Anderson or David Lynch?

David Lynch. I love Twin Peaks + the Return. Also Mulholland Drive and Blue Velvet.

Lynch is a little too artsy and abstract for my taste. Talented but an acquired taste. I liked Lost Highway, but I prefer Anderson slightly more. I can see Lynch's influence in Ari Aster's work.

Paul Thomas Anderson. His last couple films haven't gotten my attention as much, but his first 5 or 6 movies were good to great. I dig David Lynch for Dune & Elephant Man, but there is no movie that I realllllllly love or see as THAT rewatchable. Meanwhile pretty much any of Anderson's first 5 or 6 films can come on & I'll be automatically glued to the TV til its over.

Tough choice. Two of my favorites. Anderson I guess. That way I could show people his movies and they'd actually sit through the whole thing with me lol..

I'd lean towards Anderson because I like Boogie Nights and want to see Inherent Vice. Lynch I can't sit through, too weird. But I liked Twin Peaks and wanna see the new season.
