House ********s Push Election Legislation Prohibiting States From Requiring ID

    No end to their corruption...

********s proposed a bill to bolster the federal government’s control over elections. House lawmakers, including Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) are pushing the “For the People Act?through the lower chamber in hopes that representatives will take up the legislation by the first week of February.

However, critics claimed the reforms within the bill are just another power play by ********s seeking to make the election process similar to the one in California. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) even called a previous version of the bill a “massive federal government take over that would undermine the integrity of our elections.?br />
Despite these concerns, ********s sponsoring the bill claimed it would help Americans place more trust in elections.

If we could get the reforms that are embodied in H.R.1 into law it would be absolutely transformational,?Rep. John Sarbanes (D-Md.) said. “It would be the most robust, breathtaking set of reforms that we’ve seen in two generations.?br />
The “For the People Act?would prohibit states from requiring identification for individuals voting by mail. The legislation would also forbid states from requiring a witness signature on absentee ballots. Under general circumstances, election officials may not impose signature verification requirements in order to accept or count an absentee ballot.

The bill would also enable ballot harvesting by allowing individuals to designate another person to drop off their ballot as long as they are not being paid to do so.

While former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) blocked the bill in the past, ********s will likely use their majority in both chambers to push the proposal through until it is signed into law by Joe *****.

"The “For the People Act” would prohibit states from requiring identification for individuals voting by mail."

How would you provide ID when mailing in your vote any damn way??? You gotta get a notary or something?

I think we just need to get into the present & start app, computer & laptop voting with an iris &/or fingerprint verifying process. That seems a whole level above an ID any fooking way. We are still voting like FDR is on the ballot. Lets walk towards the future.

This sounds like the most logical way heading into the future. You download the voting app, register with your name, address, and social, and click vote from the comfort of your home.

Then again, anything that goes online is also under risk for hacking, and no matter how secure our systems are, there is always some kid or group of kids who are better than the best government employed software engineers pioneering security, who sooner or later can make the whole thing unravel.

Put whoever runs the banks on it. Those guys would go broke real quick if their systems weren't strong enough to prevent hackers from stealing billions a day every day. That said nothing is gonna be perfect. Our current system is flawed. The only goal with a new system should be its less flawed then the one we currently use. And just using a fingerprint alone to verify a voter puts it above the current process imo.

Which proves that mail in votes were subject to fraud from the start. Exactly what they wanted. Again, one party constantly looking for ways to rig the game.

Sh^t man there was probably fraud when George Washington was President too. Nothing is gonna be perfect. But it wouldn't have changed the outcome of this recent election if they'd have caught the 0.0000003% of folks who voted for their son or sister or whatever.

They both try to rig the game & play politics. Neither side gaf about most of the people unless its an election year & they need folks to vote. Thats why both sides can smd.

This year is far beyond what we’ve ever seen in the past. Civilizations are supposed to move forward, not backward. This election year was like some over the top political/mob movie where the plot is so unbelievable you stop watching after ten minutes. Endless videos of trucks and suitcases full of ballots, poll workers tearing up ballots, and the entire push all year for mail in ballots because of a pandemic that was perfectly timed.

The misinformation moved forward. Facts didn't prove out these rumors & conspiracy theories. Or you gotta believe Team R judges, talking heads & office holders decide to heel turn into Team D folks for a few weeks at the end of their support of a Team R President.

And I still standby that the pandemic didn't fook up Trump's chances. How Trump acted during the pandemic ruined his chances of winning.

If he'd just acted like he had empathy for everyones grandma who might die of coronavirus & mentioned the deaths with any concern of the loss of US citizens he'd been re-elected lol. Thats how unexcited folks were for *****. And thats really saying how low the bar was to clear for Trump &/or how much he had to fook up to still lose as a President who never had over a 50% approval rating his whole term. Minimal human effort & we'd be in Trump's second term & all the Team D guys would be b^tching, moaning & crying like all the Team R guys been doing these last few weeks.

No robbery or fraud needed. Just a guy who's got a shock & awe verbal strategy that he can't control &/or lower the volume on at a minimum during a global pandemic.

Absolutely you should have to provide an ID to vote in person. Too many elections where the validity of the results are questionable.

I honestly don’t understand the argument against it.
