You ever have a parent that favored a family member?

So my mom is pretty thick headed. She's babied my niece from the day she was born. My mom did the same with my loser sister.

My niece is a real piece of work. Taking cash from my broke parents. Took money from me and wouldn't pay me back because" you have lots of money" that was the last time I spoke to her. She's popped out two kids in the last two years. No dad's around living on government aid.
She told my mom she was going to nursing school and needs some cash. Then my nephew called me and said she was on only fans! I said huh grandma said she was going to school. He laughed and said yeah stripper school. I was like wtf. She's not even cute but dudes are paying her!

So my mom shot me a text telling me how good my niece was doing. She knows I don't like her and won't talk to her because of what she's put my mom through. Let alone the money she stole from me.
I said eh? I heard she has a job now. She said yeah going to school to be a nurse. I said naw.
She then text me back saying I don't want to know where she's working and I don't care.
I said ok and left it at that. I pay my parents phone bill. Why should I if they're just going to give money to my niece? It's like I'm giving her money!

My mom is already a stress case and I'm sick of this kid taking advantage of her.

My mom always complains about the service of the phones. They live way out of town. I've explained that to her. So the question is, so I drop service and tell them to get the phone service they want but I'm not paying for it.
Man family chit all my life. I'm just over all of them.

I would tell your Mom she needs to pay her own phone bill since she has the $ to blow on others. And I wouldn't feel bad about it at all. I would also tell her to not speak of people I don't associate with or to not bother calling at all.

Last year she tried to come for Thanksgiving as I'm the one who buys dinner for the family and has a home big enough for everyone. I said nope you're not welcome here. Everyone else showed up for the meal.

To late man. She called her mom the other night asking if she could watch the babies because she has a date. My sister said, no way covid! My niece then said I'll stay away for 10 days then come get them. Wtf! I was tripping!!!

These girls are crazy these days. I guess my sister was telling my nephew what happened and I was like, she raised her. She allowed all kinds of chit to go down. She shouldn't be shocked. My nephew is like me, straight up. He said he told her the same thing lol.

He's catching hate as well because he's making money. It's like, if you made money and do well then you're hated. I don't get it. I don't tell them when I even buy something new. So it's not like I'm rubbing it in.

Man holidays suck sometimes. We went to Disney for Christmas just so we didn't have to deal with it all. This year I'll have to blame covid lol.

I favor my oldest nephew, I grew up babysitting him almost every day or every other day for about 4-5 years straight. I have a certain bond to the kid, Im buying his spoiled ass a PS5 for Christmas.

Playing favorites is common, my mom is always on my sisters side, cuz she is always needs help!

Zaroku I feel your pain. My sister is always in need. Her and hubby make well over six figures and can never seem to catch up. Sis has a big mouth and always seem to say the wrong thing during the holidays. Then crays to the parents claiming stress at work or a medical issue. Then claims to be the victim. The saving grace for my sis is that she has great kids and they are old enough to know she's f...ed up.

Have another brother who f...ed up his life as well. Was married to his H.S. sweetheart was a state inspector, his only son was off to collage. Then boom over night we find out hes a father out of wedlock. If it was only one his wife might of forgave him. But one became two than the third broke the camels back. The kids broke him with child support. His wife left and son dropped out of collage. He has a roof over his head thanks to my parents. Has to suck up to my mom just to stay there.

So depressing just to see my parents. But truth be told my parents are well off.

About every other year I skip Thanksgiving, I use work as an excuse..........This year I blaming covid.
