That said there is, I believe, some substance to the issue of the prolonged wearing of masks and mask hygiene. We should all be wearing 'em a little as possible and washing them or replacing them as frequently as possible.

If not worn properly, and lets face it, most people don't wear or properly handle them--they can cause serious health issues and further spread of a virus. The problem we face now is exactly what he concluded his observation with, this has become political. Doctors who speak up on the risks are quickly discredited or ignored. Even censored.

I've given it a quick scan and certainly those parts of it I've glanced over seem to hold up. It is worth noting that Meehan's an opthamoligist by training, but with this kinda meta-research specialist knowledge of a field ain't quite as necessary, so long as you got the capacity to understand the methods and conclusions reached by the individual studies.

Who knows, man? Could be a sinister cabalistic plot I guess, but it's more likely to my cynical mind the political pressure had more to do with the $$$ millions in PPE contracts that could be handed out to cronies by our various beloved political elites.... .
