Thoughts about bill to protect workers

Ok so Dems have a dream bill that will never pass, 3.4 trillion for all kinds of chit when this is a virus bill.

Why not just send Americans money straight up? Leave the pork out!

On the other side on the coin is the Dems saying they want protection for workers where **********s want protection for businesses.

I happen to agree with Dems on this one. Without protection business owners will be lax on the guidelines. **********s feel it will hurt owners as everyone will try and sue. Really? If you have a couple cases there's no case to sue. If there's a 100 that test positive that all went to one location then yes, maybe they need to be sued.

My wife's company is already trying to lax the regulations. More people in the stores, less cleaning supplies, less labor for cleaning ECT.

Yeah I know this is where the Rs hate me for going against the grain but I will always call it like I see it. Just my opinion.

What say you? Let's cut the pork and sign chit that makes sense and send Americans money without trying to put things in like a green deal ECT.

That's how we all feel. I haven't seen what's the latest pork Rs want in the new bill?

People should protest these ***s using the funds for pet projects no matter what side they're on.

Pro tip. How about just stop printing money we don't have? How about not putting people who aren't even born yet in debt? How about we stop with the inflationary policies that have us ****ed to begin with? Can we get actual adults running the government?

Yeah tying vital legislation in with other legislation that can be dealt with seperately is just asking for nothing getting done.

Politicians don't think like the rest of us. They aren't working class people, most of them are entitled elitists. They all try adding pork to the bills. I'm glad Trump won't sign on for a $1 trillion relief bill for mayors and governors who allowed rioting and vandalism to cost them billions of dollars. Minnesota had the audacity to ask Trump for $500M for all the damage sustained during the riots in Minneapolis. A problem that could have been avoided with competent leadership at the Mayor or Governor's office.

Only way to protect workers is to ensure their jobs will still be waiting for them when and if this shyt ever ends. Meanwhile, extend their unemployment benefits and maybe put some money in the bill for landlords who are willing to waive rent for tenants who aren't working or can't afford it at the moment. Provide tax exemptions instead of big stimulus checks.

I agree with a lot of what you said but I don't want to see 600 in fed unemployment. We already have state unemployment! I would be ok with the 200 extra from the feds but not 600.

Wife went to work today and wouldn't you know she filled 8 positions lol. She had been having a hard time hiring. I guess when that unemployment ran out and it looks like it's going to be a long time before they agree on anything it made people look for jobs. Amazing how that works.

Pipe dream bro. Unfortunately, it will never happen as it makes too much sense. We need a complete overhaul of all elected officials in the government. It's a darn cesspool

You also.understand these people in Congress are buying votes. No more unemployment you say???? Oh that's Trump's fault! Vote *****!
This is now about buying votes.
It's amazing we got through the flu in the major pandemic without trillions. How did that happen? Because the country was focused on the future of the country not just themselves.

Yeah I'm for that extra $600 myself. I mean extend in terms of months they can draw on it if this nonsense is going to go on indefinitely. That extra $600 reduces the incentive for people to go back to work. I know quite a few who are making more money on unemployment than they did while they were working.
