[REAL TALK] Employers saw more applicants per vacancy after the CARES Act

So let's stop this elitist myth that people just want to sit around collecting government benefits. The elitist ruling class aren't out here with the everyday people so they have no idea what's going on. People would rather work than collect the unemployment benefits. The elitist ruling class has handling of this pandemic is the reason most people are out of work so they need to provide benefits for the people they've put out of work with their bungling of this pandemic.

When you get paid properly people usually want to work. I'm not working 50 hours a week for peanuts- barely able to live even though I'm in one of the wealthiest countries. I'm self-employed. I don't believe I was put on this earth to work a billion hours for nothing. So I don't. I earn good money and only work 25hrs per week because I can. I can sustain the lifestyle that I want. Travelling, hobbies, are much more important to me than expensive cars or whatever

      Agreed.

I am a 'key worker' and have to be on all sometimes.

The amount of voluntary overtime I've done in the last 2 years? Zero.

This is just common sense.. I know people with similar salary to me (6 fig) that laid off during corona, they are looking for work and eager to come back because their salary is more than UI even with the $600 extra.

If you are only making minimum wage or close to it, got laid off and now making 2x on UI, why would you want to go back to work? Has nothing to do with being lazy. It's just common sense.
