I sent articles to a friend the other day that shootings in New York had sky rocketed since they removed parts of the police force

The response "Shootings always go up in summer".. I literally had to quote from the article saying shootings were up like 150% on the previous years totals. A lot of people deliberately ignore what's going on.. I asked if she actually read the article.. "i don't have time for that" was the response

I feel like it's kind of futile to even talk things over these days
