But probably does know that most ****** were native to the United States, due to slave breeding and white men ripping babies away from their mothers.

Which is in part why Frederick Douglass rightfully referred to it as the great sin and shame of America.

"The United States didn't inherit slavery from anybody. WE created it."

If that's the case, why would he state like that above? Those are his exact words. At worst, you have a case of Tim trying to stir the racial pot as this is very quotable.

You are leaving out the rest of what he said. He makes it clear with the rest of his quotation. They didn't inherit it because at the time England didn't have a slave code. These laws came about within the colonies themselves.

Yeah, I understand that, technical techerson. Haha. But he flat-out made it a point to say "The United States didn't inherit slavery. We created it." He calls attention to this bull**** statement in order to pander is the point. ABL is right.

Yes. His point is that America didn't inherit it. It created it through its own actions (slave laws).

That's not pandering. It's factual. I think you just misinterpreted what he meant, and in fairness he could have worded it better, but there is enough there to easily figure it out.

Slavery has occurred since the dawn of time and is one of the worst things mankind has done to others. No one has the right to steal the life of another.

As you say, he could have worded it better. It's for a reaction and definitely pandering in my opinion. Agree to disagree.

African-Americans entered to the English colonies came to Point Comfort, ******ia in 1619, they were ****** theyd been captured against their will, but they landed in colonies that didnt have slavery. There were no laws about slavery in the colonies at that time.

The United States didnt inherit slavery from anybody we created it. It got created by the ******ia general assembly and the legislatures of other states. It got created by the court systems in colonial America in sense that enforced fugitive slave laws. We created it and we created it and maintained it over centuries.

So you and Tim are saying that the ****** weren't ****** until the ******ia general assembly did the paperwork thereby inventing slavery?

                    Yeah, that's easy to understand.

Rome had laws specific to slavery...how to treat ******, what sort of punishment they can be given based on what crime they committed, laws pertaining to granting them freedom, laws about importing and exporting ******. Greeks had slave laws. Etc. The US didn't invent slave laws.
