Is suicide a reflection of mental health or the person not being strong?

Over the course of my career, I've seen many people succumb to suicide.

My question is, is suicide a reflection of "mental health" or is it a reflection of the individual not being able to handle the adversity they're going through.

And if "mental health" is the cause of suicide, is it also the cause of homicide?

I think it's a mental issue. Had a friend that always seemed down about something. Got heavily into alcohol. Ended up killing himself. His whole family had the same tendencies but not that extreme. Another guy I knew but didn't like always seemed kind of crazy. He ended up the same way.

I've contemplated ending my life when I was in a pretty bad way physically and mentally a long time ago. And looking back at it, it would have been a weak move on my part. Can't say I was a tough ass that dug myself out off the trenches, more so I got lucky.

I can empathize on that front.

People that are in constant extreme pain, terminal illness and want to end their lives via assisted suicide or what have you, I understand.

I knew a few people who committed suicide.

One guy in high school, super smart. He felt he couldnt fit in anywhere.

His note(paraphrasing) was a short story about a guy who whose wife planned an elaborate isurprise birthday party, and sat him in a chair, blind folded him, and all his friends silently came into the room, he was so exicired he farted, and when the candles in the cake were lit and his blind fold removed... he felt embarrassed and ashamed to have farted. His note was weird.

He **** himself in the head.

I can probably find the link to this next one. A Russian *** girl, whose mother dumped her man and mail order brides her way to San Mateo Cali, was being ******ed by some old rich white guy, Hayward park San Mateo

          Perfect pic

A cute white gurl for some reason put her body on the tracks of CalTrain .

A pretty tech writer who said to me, your married azzhole, and I hate guys like you.

She, Tammy was fit, pretty, and in pain. Physical pain.

She left a note, something about being in too much physical pain, and not wanting to burden anyone with her physical pain, she sat in her garage, tail pipe exhaust into her car. 28 years old. It happened in 2000, shed be 48 now.

I dont understand this, I flirted with the idea myself, but I got too many people depending on me.

It's not so much weakness, its often more linked to purpose, men need purpose more than women, especially in this modern age, hence suicide rates are highest amongst men.
Suicidal ideation is common... when I was balling big(big for me) in Silicon Valley, I went to a skin doctor, because my buddy said he can make some scars from fighting go away.

He picked off some moles off the back of my neck, that were always in the way, cut them clean off.

The he prescribed some pills to make my skin less greasy.

After a week, on those meds, I was thinking of killing my self, turns out those meds, have side effects suicidal ideation?

Stopped taking those pills. Stopped thinking about killing my self.

theres a lot of suicidal people that are too scared to even try to end it. so for a mofo to actually do it i wouldn't call it a weakness. it means this person reached their limit

The best analogy I've heard for mental health is to see your life force as that battery icon on your phone.

Bad fortune takes away from the battery and good things replenish it.

I think you'll notice that you can rarely replenish your battery by yourself.

I feel like people generally are just beginning to realise how social we are as animals.

We've been in this weird bubble as a western society for about a decade now.
