    Why do washed celebs do Cameo?

    Why do washed Celebs do Cameo?

    Like serious question? Are they doing it for the money? or just publicity? To remain relevant in the public eye?


    Some of these actors, athletes, etc are only charging like $100 or less to do shout out videos?

    Are they really hurting that bad for the money?

    Our boss tried to hire one of the actors to do a shout out for one of our business projects and this actor said he won't do it because we are a company so he actually turned my boss down lol.

    Like they raise money for some cause or something.

      Many older actors no longer need the money but like to stay busy. They will as long as they can.

        I thought it was for charity too but then celebs are turning down business shout outs unless we pay them a lot more lol.

        So if they were doing it for charity then they'd just do the business shout outs then since the money would be going to charity right?

          I think some really need the money. Especially older ones who were probably getting paid much less for sitcoms or whatever movies they were in way back when. If they didn't invest or save, most of them don't have any hard job skills to stay afloat.

            Because their recognizability has value, even if they have a hard time getting new work. And it's easy money. Why not do it?

            Like I bet the soup **** from Seinfeld has a decent amount of demand from average joes, even if the big wigs don't have him in mind for anything significant. And he probably was never that rich anyway. Why not capitalize on his well known image/persona?

            BTW - it's not just the washed up ones. Manny Pacquiao is on Cameo.

              Even if they don't get paid much it's a good idea to stay visible if you are hoping to find more work. That phone ain't going to ring itself.

                Lol because helping a charity is not the same as helping some desperate bum get his useless business off the ground wtf how is this even an issue?
