I never had a pit but I always trained my dogs that their teeth should never touch human flesh since they were puppies. I also always exposed them to kids often so they don't feel threatened. If I ever had a dog that was aggressive towards children I would get rid of it fast. I realize stuff could still happen but I have been lucky thus far.

does this conversation really need to extend to little children... ?

Police found pitbulls 'eating' owner, 22, after savage attack...

A lot of people get pits and don’t know how to raise them is the problem , they have a lot of energy you can’t keep them locked up and angry.

I find leaving the child with food in his hands helps keep the dog from eating the child because the dog will go for the dog food instead of the child. Sometimes I smear dog food on the childs clothing so the dog thinks he is the owner and provider of food

not wishing bad luck on anybody, but...

hearing that somebody got mauled to death by their own pitbull, is kinda like hearing that a mountain-climber fell off a mountain

you don't wish bad luck on anyone but... oh well, bit of a laugh

like those quick-draw guys who have a holster-snag and shoot themselves in the foot ahaha

hard to feel sorry for them

I don't think you should ever tell Child Services that you have a pitbull, and you smear food on your children

Pitbulls were bred to be fearless.

They took the bravest and meanest and that's what they bred.

Watch how the other dogs just corall the hog and then the pitbull charges in without hesitation for the kill. That's what it was bred to do.

Letting a 4 year old play with a dangerous breed when it doesn't know how dogs think is like letting a 4 year old play with a loaded gun.
