Lewis Hamilton's hero is Aryton Senna, that is why he wears Yellow Helmet. I just like the way Hamilton does not give up, the other day in Austin? He was not really on for a win, as when he kept on asking his engineers for estimates or options 'They where silent and just giving him encouragement' But he nearly nearly won, in a race where he only needed 4 points. Hamilton in his first year of formula 1 as a rookie was paired with Fernando Alonso, and they fought to a stalemate, I think Hamilton had more wins that season so? Some say that he beat Alonso over 1 season, but technically they both finished on exactly the same points.

Hamilton lost the championship in his first year by 1 point due to crashing out of a race at Brazil if my memory is correct, so just imagine 'He could of had 7 titles already by now'.

Note: I have not voted on the pole.

You're right I mixed him up with Vettel.

Hamilton is a great driver, no doubt. Just not my cup of tea.

Plenty of the drivers kind of state that he is aloof, right now? I think only Vettel and him have a really good relationship. 'One time during a drivers parade, he was sitting by himself away from all the drivers' Sky Sports ask him 'Why was he not standing with all the other drivers? Hamilton replied 'I don't want to be any of their friends, this is war' but I have noticed that of late Hamilton has been really supportive of the drivers from his era coming through, he has been encouraging Vettel who? Is having a really tough time at Ferrari and with Charles leclrec.

I believe Hamilton is also dyslexic like Jacket Stewart, but he has a ability to set up his car very good I.E it is still down to the driver to set up there car 'I am not a engineer, but I assume that means steering, breaks, engine settings etc' No driver even if they are in the same car, are driving a identical car.

During his years when he competed against Nico Roseberg, at some stage 'Teams started to share garage data'. Roseberg due to his desperation to beat Hamilton, would just automatically copy Hamilton's car set up.

Mad thing is? I am not really one of these type of men who nuts themselves off over cars but I have always liked Formula 1, the history and the psychology of it.

There is a great documentary about formula 1 in the 70's/80's, on average 3-6 drivers would die every year.

I hold Nico Roseberg's title win in very high regard, he is a very underrated driver 'His father was also world champion during the 80's I believe'.

This entire documentary used to be on you tube, it is probably somewhere 'Really good and informative'.

When you have the best car you only have to beat your team mate.

Im not too good on F1, but from what I know the best guy usually has the best car, and its not so much about the drivers ability its more about the technology of the car, like complete scrubs become number 1 over night because they change teams n car etc (like button and lewis), so ask yourself which driver took a crap car/team and still won? I think Schumacher fits that description well Ferrari were always a pile of sh.it and HE took them to the top and broke records.

But there were others that did similar .

So dont look at championships look at drivers that did well despite lackluster cars, then you can find the best guy.

Its like lesser fighters winning more world championships in a weaker era and so on

But if it wasn't for his early death I'm sure he'd have more and Schumacher would have less because Senna was still prime at the time Schumi won his first titles. They'd have a legendary rivalry if Senna didn't die.

Senna had the most raw talent in the history of the sport imo. He is arguably the best wet weather driver in F1 history . He was more of a wildcard opposed to other greats who were more methodical and tactical.

He also had a great rivalry with Prost who himself is an ATG and one of the best ever.

It's a matter of personal opinion obviously but I think he really was the GOAT. Not because he died, but because of his talent and style. Plus I can't stand Hamilton just like I couldn't stand Schumacher because they're both dirty mfers on the track so there's that...

Schumacher won it 5 times in a row..

Put him in a crap car and see how many races he wins then.

F1 isnt a sport, its whoever has best car/team.

So? He had no quality opposition. I mean, Hakinnen or Villeneuve aren't exactly killers. Good drivers but that's about it.

When Senna was alive Schumacher got cucked hard by him and Senna had a worse car than him. He was on his way to win his 4th title in 1994 but he unfortunately died.

Plus Schumacher was a flat out cheater. Never liked him.

He is definitely king of the hybrid era.

Hard to judge all time with all the radical changes the sport has had.
