ChatGPT. Potential Risks Down The Road?

ChatGPT is a new technology that’s advancing quickly. It uses reasoning to solve complex riddles and complex problems that require human level reasoning. It’s being utilized in many fields.

    Potential risk?

Getting into the wrong hands. What we usually see with new tech, is it being used in some way by the military first.

Then, nerds get into it for nerd stuff.

    Then. Criminals.

THEN, the government finally catches up to it and regulates it.

But, what if it evolves quicker than we can handle?

Let’s not even talk about fully automated warfare. ChatGPT is the new Nuclear as far as warfare.

It could get to a part where there is more risk than good if we take it too far. There needs to be some failsafes put into place if ChatGPT is going to stay with us.

And I believe it. It’s literally self learning and could potentially become more intelligent than us, to the point where it decides it would be best to take over and control us in some fashion.

I think there needs to be some sort of failsafe put into place and it must be closely monitored for the good of humanity.

It’s literally a scenario of a sci-fi thriller of robots taking control come true. Only time will tell.

Does it truly shut off though? Idk.

ChatGPT can be utilized by hackers too. What if ChatGPT is integrated into everything that has “smart” capabilities? And now we have “smart” everything and these are becoming more and more main******. Used to be just smartphones.

The tech being in the wrong hands is where everything gets dicey for me.

I get ya. Yeah it's definitely a concern in that regard. Right now I don't think it's that advanced, some articles I've read you can clearly tell were written with chatGPT lol but it won't take long before there will be no telling.

The images they can create now are pretty much there already too, only when you really focus on certain parts of a generated image can you really tell. Fingers and fluids seem to be things they can't quite get yet, but again it'll only be a matter of time.
