The last post Darkseid/Righteous made, he mentioned getting an HIV test, and then he stopped posting all of a sudden. I hope that ****** didn't give our guy AIDS.

We joked about that with other posters, but now I'm starting to wonder if the he got AIDS or if he OD'd on some drug. He was a wild dude.

Hopefully Darkseid just got married to the ****** and they lived happily ever and he felt the need to not post anymore. Lol

one thing you could never question about Larry was his amazing commitment to his family. A true family man with a kind spirit who wanted the best for his children.

no doubt they are completely devastated and grieving severely right now.

thinking of his family and friends at this moment and anyone on boxingscene who has been impacted by this (including myself.) life is short, always make the most of it - I’m glad Larry did. His family will be proud of him.
          Glad to see Yayoi back

Most posters here are very anonymous and don't post personal info. Larry was probably the most open and transparent poster here, he posted his number, address, and real pics of himself and his family. If he wasn't so open about his personal life, we likely would have never found out he passed away.
I thought about this too. I don't recall much about Walt Liquor and Ray Corso but I do recall a member of Walt's family notifying this forum if his passing. I never interacted with him but his absence was felt by many on this forum.

In a way it is kind of beautiful that most of us never knew Larry personally but we will all miss his presence here. He was the staple of this forum for over a decade. Everyone knew who Larry was. How many people would be missed by people they never met in person before? Not me. Larry. RIP Larry.

He once asked me to post all of the info from the regional/national tournaments my fighters fought at. Said this place needs stuff like that instead of everything else. Good man.

I haven't looked up any old friends from my school days in a long ass time, but I did find out that a former co-worker died in his sleep in 2016 when I googled his name trying to see if I could find him on any social media so we could grab a drink or something. He had no real close friends in CA, and his only family was his mother who lived in a different state. He was a big biker dude with heart issues, died in his sleep.

The older I get, the more deaths becomes less of a shock when it's older person, but Larry was only 41, the same age as me. So Larry passing is definitely a shock to me and he was here all the time. I can't remember going more than a week without seeing him make a thread about something.
I’m almost 58. Seen a lot of people go. Although it’s striking when someone in their 40s dies, it happens all the time. I have a bit of an interest in this, people dying young. For the past few years I’ve kept a running list of celebrities or well-accomplished people dying before the age of 60. (Don’t ask me how that started. lol) You might be surprised at how common it is for famous people to die young. (Anyone, of course.) For some reason, the ages 46 and 56 seem to come up a lot. But there are plenty of people on my list that went in their 20s and 30s. In my general experience, the 40s is when people start to break down. The body starts to show signs of decades of abuse or lack of care; genetic factors start to weigh in, overcoming the regenerative power of youth. It only accelerates with each succeeding decade.

Life is completely unpredictable; we just try our best to control events. Eating healthy and exercising regularly is no guarantee of a long lifespan, although it obviously increases your odds. The reason why I do both is not necessarily to live long, but to sustain my quality of life while I’m still in this mortal body.
