Who is this a real problem for tho? If they are stopping ppl from buying basic necessities I get it obviously, but if some guy with mental health problems is trying to buy a gun than maybe we should stop him shouldn't we?

The first part of your reply is the problem, not the second. This would be a problem for people who refuse to comply with some demands of the state, such as absolute loyalty and compliance to all demands of the state. This is not far-fetched as it is already happening in China and headed that way in many other nations as well.
