I highly recommend this show to people who love Breaking Bad since it has a similar aesthetic, has masterful writing that doesn't rely on cliches and tired tropes or cliff-hangers. It's basically BB in reverse - a character trying to do the reverse of Walt: Breaking Good.

I get what you mean, I hate contrived and shoe-horned check-boxing. The show isn't woke at all. In fact, The head of the Mexican gang in Nevada is female, but she's written so awesomely and isn't a Mary-Sue. No LGBT at all in the show.
