    FBI chief Christopher Wray confirms agency’s belief COVID came from Chinese lab leak


    FBI Director Christopher Wray on Tuesday confirmed the bureau’s reported stance that the COVID-19 virus came from a Chinese lab leak.

    “The FBI has for quite some time now assessed that the origins of the pandemic are mostly likely a potential lab incident in Wuhan, China,” Wray said with Fox News’ Bret Baier.

    Wray’s comments were aired two days determined with “low confidence” that the virus that causes COVID-19 came from a Chinese laboratory.

    The Wall Street Journal’s Sunday report had also revealed that the FBI concluded with “moderate confidence” that a lab accident in China was the origin of the disease.

    Wray told Baier that US officials were still probing COVID-19 origins and revealed China has been stonewalling the investigation.

    “The Chinese government, seems to me, has been doing its best to try to thwart and obfuscate the work here, the work that we’re doing, the work that our US government and close foreign partners are doing and that’s unfortunate for everybody,” Wray said.​

      Where's all the gas-lighters who were calling Trump racist and xenophobe for shutting down travel from China early on and insisting it was a lab leak? How many of us called B.S. on some phony bat story? Meanwhile Fauci is still deflecting and digging deeper insisting we may never know the true origins of COVID...really?! This man should be in prison for his gain of research funding and lying to the American people. The sad part is, his party loyalists will still stand behind him. Party loyalty above all else.

              A few days ago, the US Department of Energy said it had found the virus was most likely the result of a lab leak in Wuhan but could only reach that conclusion with "low confidence".

              In response to that, many scientists who have studied the virus said this week that there is no new scientific evidence pointing to a lab leak.

              A natural origin is still the more likely theory, said Professor David Robertson, head of viral genomics and bioinformatics at University of Glasgow.

              "There's been an accumulation of evidence (what we know about the viruses biology, the close variants circulating in bats and locations of early human cases) that firmly points to a natural origin centred on the Huanan market in Wuhan city," he said.
