"Fueling" infrastructure will probably be a thing.

    Torque won't be an issue.

500 miles, that's what you're pulling, and where you're pulling. I've put over a 1k deadheading back in an old International.

Takes alot of resources to make a rainbow farting unicorn electric vehicle, as of now.

Probably take a few generations to perfect it.

Hoping this creates another huge jump in my Tesla stock. 30k invest now worth 52k.

To perfect it? Possibly.. To make it practical to use and more efficient and economical than ICEs for almost all practical purposes - I reckon within a generation. 2035, 2040 maybe. We're not there yet by a margin though. Specially on the long hauls. People need to be sure they can rely on it.

If I'm thinking about trucks and other CVs I'd be personally designing in multiple redundancies, probably a hybrid or include a back-up genny and Photovoltaics for additional charging.

That what you do then man? You a trucker?

Not impressive yet. How much can it haul and for how long? That's what semis are for but it cant even be used for its purpose at the moment.

I need to make the transition at some point but as a car enthusiasts, EVs are such a turn off. I hate it lol.

I wouldnt mind having a Model S Plaid on the side but that's about it right now.

I'm the same. But I'd choose the Taycan over the Tesla all day.

That's the sad thing, it's like it's pretty clear EVs are gonna be the future but they just ain't as raw and ***y as IC... wonder how long before EV manufacturers start adding simulated engine noise and vibration to *** em up a bit, make folk feel like they got some throbbing power under the hood.. You imagine?

Hmmm.... In fact come to think of it there's a business opportunity there for a savvy entrepreneur. Anyone on here with some experience of speaker and sound tech be able to run up a retrofit kit you reckon... ? Maybe some upscaled rumble system like you got on gamepads or something too?

I forgot about Taycan. Yea, Taycan is very hard. It's unique.
