Brutal is going viral of an elderly store owner in home state being on the head and.
The footage shows the store owner, 68, being struck in the head with a hammer, stomped on, and pistol-whipped at Solid Gold, a ***elry store in Wilmington, Delaware, to a report.
The incident occurred on Sept. 15, when a man dressed in black approached the owner and held a pistol to his head.
Showing interest in the ***elry, the man grabs the owner by the throat and pistol-whips him in the head, according to the report.
The attacker strikes him at least two more times before letting the elderly man fall to the floor behind a display counter.
However, the beating did not stop there.
The attacker hops over the counter and stomps on the 68-year-old's head.
In total, the attack and raid on the store occurred over 20 minutes, Steve Suh, the owner's son, said.
"First he pistol-whipped him. Then he stomped his head when my father tried to get up," according to Suh. "Then finally beat him in the head 28 times with two of those blows thrown with a deadly hammer."
His father was taken to a local hospital "after suffering from an internal head bleed and severe concussion," according to Suh.
"He is relearning how to do the most basic things like walk, read and talk," he added. Anyone "else his age may have easily been killed."
At least $100,000 in ***elry was stolen, according to Suh.
"My father is 68 and his ‘American Dream’ has come to a crashing halt," he said.
Suh said his father had been "just scraping by during the COVID pandemic" when "evil opportunists during the George Floyd protests looted the store and left him with virtually nothing," the report noted.
Calvin Ushery, 39, was taken into custody following the attack.
He faces possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, as well as first-degree robbery and criminal mischief charges, according to police.
