Yes Halloween Ends is this year.

They were coming out with a Friday The 13th several years ago. Around 2017. Whatever studio had the rights to do it canned the project when it was still in preproduction because whatever SAW movie came out that year did terrible numbers and the studio thought that meant their Friday The 13th would do bad numbers as well.

And since 2018, there was a lawsuit over who has the creative rights over the franchise. This kunt Victor Miller apparently did the original screenplay for it, but none of the sequels. So he wanted a slice of the pie. Lawsuits over now. I think Mr. Miller won. But this is the reason why there hasn’t been any new films, or general content for that matter, for Friday The 13th. All projects related to the franchise, legally, we’re frozen and put on hold, or just dumped entirely.
