    My new project

Yeah I dont post stuff like this so I figured why not. Doing some work for a front bumper for my truck.
Normally these are bed lined but thats not for me. It's taken a lot of work to get it ready for paint. Lots of grinding, welding to fab brackets and bodywork.
I'm getting pretty close to getting it done. For those into this kind of stuff I'll post pics as I go.

    yeah, even though the signs that God has shown me, i've still been a cynical person {not believing in people, that they want to to good...}

I have a car, paid off, and this person runs a red light and hits and runs me, total left side ****ed, the door is jacked. needs realignment , but shops wont do that if the thingymagigor is messed up underneath/ which is probably the case. that's like 700 if i could fix it myself...

so i pick up this girl to **** today, right front tire blew in this busy busy road. damn spare is flat, one of the lugnuts is bent by the accident, so i couldnt have even changed it myself. there was this feeling i had that everything would be ok

then literally 2 min later this guy pulls up, changes my tire, then says follow me ill get you a new tire, brand new tire 40 bucks, better than the 100 dollar tire i bought couple years back.

this guy went out of his way had that right tools hooked me up, i believe in people

but yeah man , def post pics, do a step by step, teach us some stuff that would be awesome. pretty sure i know what your going through but its great to be a teacher if we have the same problem

Not to shIt on your thread, man down. Good stuff.

But honestly Jerub,, DIY projects when in it comes to automotive can be a gigantic rabbit hole.

Jacks, jack stands, ratchet sets, extensions, SAE/Metric, impact tools, decent hand tools, special tools for brand specific, tool chest's, wielding equipment (and knowing how to wield), cherry pickers, creepers....

It's not only about the tools anymore, but where are you going to store the fucking things, lol.

yeah the guy had the same problem/ accident with his truck, and the right tools to fix my car, would've been like 700 plus with the right tools but he did it for 20 bucks. i really don't know why he did it , he kept talking about karma or something.

Be interested to see your work man down . I do my own work on my camper van mainly, rust repair, grinding and filling mainly though I did rebuild part of the wheel arch / foot well with epoxy and mesh a couple years back. Replaced the gas struts, exhaust and a good chunk of the cooling system over the last few too.

Never done any real welding or fabrication yet though, was gifted an arc welder last year and I've had a few practice runs on offcuts but not actually worked up the confidence to do anything real with it yet. First project was gonna be a bracket for my outhouse to mount a pull-up bar and heavybag - although I was saying that before summer and the weather's on the turn now.

not to sh/t on your thread, words mean things and that was uncalled for, i wouldnt't say that to my enemy, instead you were a teacher and gave me knowledge. These tools are specific and worth the price for an someone who wants to learn the craft. you were hateful and helpful at the same time=

Ok there's 4 more pieces to this I haven't shown. The ends and buckets for lights. I metal etched em and shot primer then wet sanded everything. Friday is looking good.

Can't wait to get this thing done! I'm going to two tone it with the center black and then color match the blue on the ends to match the truck.

Lots of freaking work but to get things to be like you want you have to go the extra mile.

Done! Turned out nice. Now for the install. Give it a few days to really dry. Gotta install the light and bolt everything together now.
