New series...Squid Game

For all the **** my daughter's get exposed to on TilTok...they actually found and recommended this gem on Netflix.

It's a Korean drama/thriller/survival drama series similar to the hunger games. 456 down n out on thier luck contestants are invited to participate in 6 games where the winner will take home like $40 million or something around that.

Great series! The acting,script
character development is pretty damn good.

Of all of the good reasons for kids not to watch it, this seems like not really one of them. Who is watching this show and thinking of some obscure gala?

And those rich characters in the masks do not come off positively in the show. In fact it's the opposite. They are entitled, sadistic, bored weirdos at best, and complete sociopaths at worst.

BTW, it is rated TV-MA. So if you have a kids Netflix account, you wouldn't see this show.

The K-Pop industry is apparently full of occult ritual and mind control themes, transhumanism, etc. Just like the music industry in the US and in many other countries.

I was actually surprised at how much I liked this series.

Usually not into this type of thing or gore for the sake of gore (stuff like the Saw movies)

But this was actually amazing.. the last episode went out with a whimper tho imo

Also the two major twists me and my wife called early in the show.. I think even as early as when they decided to all leave the game..

I'll probably give this a casual watch some time this week, but I've never found a Netflix show that sustained my interest - they usually start strong and just fizzle out and end with a limp and most, if not all, are so contrived and woke. HBO is just so much better in terms of artistic vision and writing.
