Strange, like a surreal dream. i only ever took it twice while backpacking in New Zealand, first time was hilarious, spent over an hour crylaughing at a big goofy dutch mate get attacked & dive bombed as we accidently stumbled upon some kind of protective bird area, safe to say his experience turned into a nightmareWhile mine felt like a shroom trip, not overwhelming at all.
Second time was more overwhelming, was at a NYE festival in the middle of nowhere, and tbh i dont remember much of it apart from turning my back to the stage and just staring at the crowd like a complete loon, i remember a guy locking onto me, some kiwi bloke who seemed to know alot about me, in hindsight im not sure he was actually real, pretty certain he was, as its not like you like hallucinate on acid ( as far as im aware)
People expect to see pink flying elephants and its not like that at all, its pretty similar to a strong shroom trip imo.

Oh yeah. Too many times to count. Over the years I concluded that psychedelics were the only class of drug (unless you count alcohol) that I'm interested in. I'm fascinated by psychedelics.
The deep introspection, and how it really just knocks down barriers in your mind and you see things in a different light. Pretty amazing how a mushroom that grows in nature can put one in that state of mind, and how a guy (Albert Hoffman) accidentally stumbled upon the creation of LSD (google and read the story of it sometime).
Anyway, yeah, someone mentioned earlier in this thread that these powerful psychedelics need a proper, safe, comfortable setting. Then you can maybe have the time of your life. But do it in a negative setting, and well, one could be looking at 8 to 10 hours of hellish nightmare. Set & setting is arguably the most important thing to consider before ingesting something as powerful as LSD. There's no turning back once you ingest it -- buy the ticket, take the ride.
I'll try and get back to this thread later when I have time to share some of my experiences...I subscribed to the thread.

The only hallucinogenic 'drug' I've tried was Salvia.
My air conditioner started talking to me, it wasn't the strong stuff I think the dose was 75x or whatever.
Another time reality folded like, a cubicle.

Psychedelic Drugs Can Help Alcoholics Stop Drinking, According To New Study
Psychedelic psilocybin cuts cravings and boosts key brain functions in rat models of alcohol use disorder
If you ever get some i would try magic truffles first (not overwhelming and no introspective thoughts or anything, i just laughed so hard that my t shirt was soaked in tears) then shrooms then you have a general idea of what to expect before taking cid. You diving in straight to cid, is, essentially like someone who has never drank alcohol that wants to take a shot of Absinthe for the first time.
I know im not selling it by saying this, but it really is like a shrink session in your own mind...the level of clarity i had and ability to think on a whole different level is something that's hard to explain. And for people that are scared of bad trips or whatever, its not like you get a normal every day joe that's happy and content with his life, that has a bad trip (though that can obviously happen) Its the deeply unhappy joe shmoe that has demons in his unconscious mind that he buries away & psychedelics bring that all to the surface and you get a whole new level of understanding about yourself, the world & universe.....ok this is sounding very hippyish nowLast edited by mlac; 12-11-2021, 10:22 AM.Citizen Koba

those magic truffles, never knew about those. I'm going to do some research. That sounds exactly how I would start when I do decide to experiment
