**** yea we did...open hand, belts, chanclas, branches and thats from my moms,OG veterana from the hood who didn't take ****. Gotta say her favorite were those plastic hangers, she'd have a stash of those badboys just to use on us.....looking back, gotta say we deserved it though .

Did spank my kids too when those little ****s got out of hand but just a couple good smacks on thier asses, nothing crazy. Stopped when they hit about 7 or 8.

Only after my old man finally got his visa to come over from Greece in '81 when I was about 9. Old school dude, I think in his mind he was going pretty easy on us too, pretty free with his slaps (and he had these heavy-ass bear paws which I also got myself) but he only seriously battered me 3 or 4 times over the 8 years we were under a roof together. Towards the end it was getting dicey though, probably just a matter of time before one or other of us ended up in hospirtal or worse so I just packed a bag and fucked off early one morning coupla days after I turned 17.

Wasn't normal where I grew up though, kinda rural English village. I wasn't the only poor kid but I was the only one who'd come to school with a fat lip or a fading shiner sometimes. My ma also told me he beat me so bad when I was about 4 for trying to stab him when were in Athens on holiday that I couldn't get out of bed for a week but I don't remember that.

Like Sctrojan above smacked my older kids a coupla times on the ass or leg when they were really young, don't think I've smacked lil Koba yet at all though and he's 4 now.

people born in the 80's like myself up to 90's all got the beating. probably because we really do crazy stuff. we ain't like these soft ass phaggots now a days that when you say something that'll hurt their feelings they might commit suicide or something.

Nope, never happened, did get into a fight with my dad at 19. I was too big too strong for him and we both knew it. I just got him a headlock until my mom made us stop, Just wrestling no punches thrown.

I noticed things were a little different after that.

Yeah, I got the belt. Sometimes the wire hanger, tennis racket, or random piece of wood.

Ass whoopings were common when I was growing up. Actually it was abnormal for a healthy boy to not get their asses beat from time to time. I was a menace and got my ass beat by my pops on a daily basis.

i have three girls and I dont hit them ever. But when I have a boy, I plan on raising him tough and I will definitely slap him up if he gets out of line.

Religiously until I was 18. I don't know why they continued since the beatings stopped having an affect a few years earlier. I figured they still had frustrations and needed someone to release it on. Their choice of weapons were the only highlight after a while.

Oh yeah the belt was hung on the wall. At 16 I was 6'4 and dad worked construction. It was always, wait until your dad gets home. He is 6'3 and 245lbs of muscle back then.

Trust me there were times I knew chit was coming and played it off until he got home. I took some Ls for sure.

When a man works in 105 degree heat and has to come home and deal with kid chit you're in for it. I left at 17 lol. Now that I'm older I understand that I was a punk ass kid. So no hard feelings.
