Wow. The Gotti film was one of my favorite mob movies of all-time. Shocked it took decades to make a sequel.

Assante absolutely owned the Gotti role.
Lets be right, he WAS John Gotti for the duration of that movie.
William Forsyth was pretty damn good too - Although I always associate him more with the movie 'Stone Cold'
One of the greatest (most underrated?) Gangster flicks of all time.
Never tire of watching it tbh.

All the original casts are returning for Gotti 2 and the story takes place when Gotti goes to prison.

None of them are dead? It's been so long.

Stone Cold didnt age too well but it used to be a guilty pleasure of mine lol.

William Forsyth is real menacing as a villain and he was in two movies that year. He was great in Out For Justice with Steven Segal too.

                I'll be doing the following:

                1. Watch Many Saints first
                2. Then re-watch The Sopranos for the 20th time - greatest TV show ever made IMHO

I've never watched Gotti. I was always afraid it might be a Goodfellas clone since it's made in the same decade, it's a made for TV film, right?

Wow, just checked IMDB, it's crazy how much Michael Gandolfini resembles his dad. Imagine if the film leads to a new Sopranos TV show. I can see him as playing young Tony for 8 seasons! Chase still has it in him.

Quite a few of The Sopranos cast also in Gotti.
It's a platinum Gangster movie & nothing like Goodfellas really.
If Assante's Gotti has a weakness?
                    I ain't found it yet!
And, bonus ball, free in HD on YouTube.
