[PLEASE HELP] I want to sell my PS3

But i'm not sure if i can do it now or in years to come. I've been told that if you sell it in 5-10 years the price will skyrocket because it's no longer being produced.

I have 13 games plus a HDMI cable. Should i sell it now or later? Which do you recommend?

Sell now especially if funds are tight it won't skyrocket as there are millions in production.

Megadrive, saturn, N64, ps1, PS2, all the old consoles are pretty much worthless.

The more you wait the further it will decrease in value as the PS4 & Xbox 1 have just come out.

If it ever is worth anything it won't be in your lifetime.

Depends on you. I'm keeping mine since I have a hard drive full of games and I still get 2 free games a month with Playstation plus.

The price might fluctuate but it sure as hell isnt going to go up. There are 85 million+ PS3's in circulation and they are still pumping them out.

do you have the launch unit or the slim PS3? if you have the Piano PS3 hold on to it for a while

It's value will decrease.

If it's one of the backwards compatibility units from the first batch you'll probably get a decent amount for it. Otherwise it won't be worth very much in several years time.

Take PS2's for example. They're on eBay for next to nothing.

If you're gonna sell it the sooner the better, more and more people will be upgrading to next gen consoles in the next few years and trading in/selling their old consoles. Second hand 360's and PS3's will be a dime a dozen.
