    Considerations for replacement gloves

Hey everyone, I am currently in the market for some replacement gloves to upgrade from some cheap $5 16oz gloves that came with my canvas bag. I have thoroughly destroyed the old gloves padding, stitching and any hope of using them for protection due to the cheap build quality. I do wrap properly with 180" wraps using the method shown on expertboxing.

I am a heavyweight at 227 and 5'9" and use an 80 lbs canvas heavybag 7 days a week for my workouts. Most of my workouts is dealing with bag work due to there not being any boxing gym near me. What I am looking for is something that will last longer than a year, has good wrist support as well as great knuckle protection (knuckles and shoulders kill me now after workouts). The budget I was looking for was hopefully under $100 so here is what I came up with.

    Venum Elite Gloves 16oz

Title Gel Intense Bag/Sparring Gloves 16oz

Fairtex Muay Thai Style Sparring Gloves 18oz

What do you all think? I'm kinda leaning toward the Title gloves because of the better wrist support and real leather.

I hear that ringside do some great gloves. They would be within the budget you are looking for

I have a pair of Fighting Sports 18 oz gloves that I love. Very comfortable and offer great hand protection. Had them for over two years and they still feel great, the velcro wrist strap has had better days though.

        Thanks

Thank you, and sorry for not noticing until now that there is a general gloves question and review sticky thread right above this. Im new to this forum so im finding my way around. Again my apologies.

Find a vinyl cover for your canvass bag and what ever gloves you get will last a lot longer. Canvass bags are for kicking they ruin good gloves so find a slip cover for it. Any shoemaker can put together a nice "duffle" bag cover that shouldn't cost much.

Look into Golden Gear Boxing gloves. It's a younger company, but all the equipment is handmade by the company Fairtex, a popular Thai company. The owner does a great amount of quality control so the quality is much better than your typical $60-$80 glove. And you might be able to check on Ebay and find a better deal.
